CARBON COUNTY, Mont. – The search for a missing hiker in Carbon County has been ongoing for three months.

Red Lodge Fire Rescue reported that in early June, a hiker fell into East Rosebud Creek at Rimrock Lake and was swept away by the current.

Search and rescue volunteers have been tirelessly looking for the hiker since then.

In a recent update, Red Lodge Fire Rescue announced that members of the U.S. Water Rescue Dive Team from Billings have been deployed to Rimrock Lake.

The dive team brought specialty equipment to aid in the search, allowing them to look under rocks and inside crevasses beneath the creek's surface.
