The early view of the post office dates between 1936 to 1940.

The Iron Mountain U.S. Post Office was built in 1935, where the former Rundle’s Hardware Store and Opera House, which was on the second floor, was located at 101-103 W. Ludington St. The opera house burned Sept. 11, 1915.
