Rancho Cordova city leaders have unanimously approved the Cordova City Center, a major development anchored by a 7,500-seat arena. The Cordova Arena will host a major arena soccer league franchise, including Sacramento’s first professional women’s soccer team, when it opens in fall 2027. The $multi-use project also includes hotels, retail, dining, entertainment, housing, and public spaces. Developers estimate it will create 37,000 jobs and fill a gap in the Sacramento region for a mid-sized arena.
