CALIPATRIA — Calipatria is set to kick off Dia de Muertos with an early celebration on Thursday October 10 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Rademacher Park.
The event will feature a decorated altar to honor loved ones who have passed, along with traditional catrinas, food, musical performances, and family-friendly activities. Local artisans and vendors will also be on hand selling and showcasing crafts and goods.
Dia de Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a tradition throughout Mexico and beyond blending Indigenous customs with Catholic influences. It is a time to remember family, friends, and pets that have passed away, and to celebrate their lives.
Event organizers encourage the community to attend, enjoy the festivities, and take part in this cultural celebration. For more information, call 760
