Former Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho got off to a tough start to life at Chelsea in his first start for the Blues since his summer move to Stamford Bridge, playing just 59 minutes of the Carabao Cup third round clash as Ruben Amorim's transfer decision was vindicated.
The former United winger was given a frosty welcome by home supporters on his way into the LNER Stadium and was booed throughout the game by the Lincoln faithful.
Enzo Maresca's side struggled with the Imps' long balls into the box and physicality in the opening stages. So much so, that Garnacho was left in a heap on the floor after a tackle from Lincoln City defender Tendayi Darikwa.
The Blues were awarded a free kick, much to the annoyance of the home support, with the Argentinian rolling
