WASHINGTON, D.C. — A statue showing President Trump holding hands with “best friend” Jeffrey Epstein is now on display on the National Mall.
The Guardian reports it’s unknown who specifically created and financed the statue, but a permit from the National Park Service will allow it to stay on the mall through 8 p.m. Sunday. USA Today reports a group called The Secret Handshake Project is taking credit.
The statue depicts the Trump and late disgraced financier Epstein appearing to frolic while looking at each other and smiling. It’s made of a combination of foam, resin, wood and wire, The Independent reports .
“We celebrate the long-lasting bond between President Donald J. Trump and his ‘closest friend’ Jeffrey Epstein,” a plaque on the statue reads, according to USA Today .
