A Scots holidaymaker was deported from Morocco - because Ryanair staff refused to let her retrieve her passport from her plane seat. ‌

Rebecca McCurry, from Lochgilphead, Argyll and Bute, had just arrived in Marrakesh on a flight from Edinburgh with three friends when she discovered she had left her passport on board. ‌

Although the 22-year-old nanny realised her mistake within 'five minutes' of leaving the plane on July 31, she claims she was not allowed to go back and get it. ‌

Crew members reportedly told her that after 'sweeping the plane' they had recovered nothing - however the airline later admitted in a statement that the passenger 'misplaced their passport on board'.
