Ex-Portsmouth board member sues city, alleges 'malicious prosecution'

PORTSMOUTH — Former Portsmouth Planning Board member James Hewitt , along with his wife, Liza, filed a lawsuit against the city and a number of its high-ranking officials.

The Hewitt’s attorney, Jeremy Eggleton of Concord, alleges in the lawsuit “the defendants, collectively and individually, sought to remove Mr. Hewitt from his position as a volunteer Planning Board member without just cause, alleging malfeasance by him without any foundation for such a claim.”
