“We over me” mindset has Vandercook Lake thriving

VANDERCOOK LAKE -- The Vandercook Lake football team is off to its best start in a decade.

Wins over Addison, East Jackson and Sand Creek have the Jayhawks sitting at 3-1. The last time the Jayhawks enjoyed that record through four games was the COVID-shortened 2020 season. The last time Vandercook Lake had that strong a record in 11-man football through four weeks was in 2015 when they won their first seven games on their way to an 8-2 record.
