Frederick approves almost $7.5M for water meters, other water infrastructure

Frederick City Council members on Thursday agreed to spend nearly $7.5 million to replace water meters and degraded bolts in some city water valves.

“This project ... will update 23,000 water meter accounts with the installation of new water meters ...,” Ben Arneson, the city’s superintendent of water services, wrote in a document submitted to the council.
