CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A Middletown Kroger employee has been terminated after admitting to writing a message on a customer’s cup that Starbucks is calling ‘unacceptable’.

Autumn Perkins said that Sunday night, after watching the memorial of slain 31-year-old conservative Charlie Kirk, she went to Starbucks to order his go-to drink, a mint majesty tea with two honeys, as a small way to honor him.

“Just wanted to honor Charlie in that small gesture of a way,” Perkins said. “I didn’t see the note until I got into the car.”

After getting in her car, she picked up her tea to find “racist’s fav drink” written on the cup.

“You know? Just shock,” she explained. “Like I was just baffled, really, not what I expected at all. Who does that? I think I was hurt, just sad more than anything.”
