CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Cullman County Schools say the incident aboard a school bus seen in videos circulating online has been handled

According to school officials, the video shows a middle school student repeatedly hitting another middle school student. The altercation was recorded by fellow students and posted on social media.

“While the system goes to great lengths to protect student safety and privacy, unfortunately, videos of the incident have been posted online and have cause confusion, anger and frustration - as well as genuine concern for the well-being of the student who was victimized,” school officials shared in a statement on social media .

The school system said the incident was handled swiftly and effectively before the video surfaced online.
