OMAHA, Neb. —

First responders shut down part of 72nd Street in Omaha overnight Wednesday while investigating a building fire at the old 'Gameroom' near 72nd and Farnam.

Crews found smoke and flames coming from the abandoned building just after 1 a.m. and quickly called for a second alarm due to the size of the structure.

"Omaha fire crews initially had difficulties gaining access to the building because it was completely fenced off. There's a large retaining wall on the back side of the structure," said Battalion Chief Coby Werner.

It took about an hour to get the fire under control, and there were no injuries reported.
