A South Carolina man shot his girlfriend dead with a 12-gauge shotgun "after an argument," then went out to his porch to kick back and relax, with cops finding him "eating potato chips, smoking cigarettes, and drinking a beer."

Alexander Harmon, 35, was found guilty last week of murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the slaying of Katelin Crocker, 19, in June 2018. The 5th Circuit Solicitor's Office announced his conviction in a press release on Monday and recounted the events that led to Harmon being thrown behind bars after he jumped bail in November 2018.

"On June 2, 2018, Harmon's father alerted Kershaw County dispatch. He reported that Harmon confessed to shooting his girlfriend, Katelin Crocker, after an argument," the solicitor's office said.
