A man died Tuesday night in a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 1 in Flagler County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said around 11:50 p.m., a 76-year-old man was traveling the wrong way in the northbound lanes of U.S. 1 just south of Seminole Woods.
FHP said the wrong-way driver struck another car head-on.
The driver of that car, a 63-year-old man from Bunnell, was transported to a hospital in serious condition, per the FHP report.
After the collision with the wrong-way driver, the 63-year-old driver struck an SUV.
The SUV driver was not injured, according to FHP.
All three vehicles stopped in the roadway and the center median.
The 76-year-old wrong-way driver died at the scene, troopers said.
