Twins 4, Rangers 1 • The Texas Rangers are still playing games? • At this time of year at this time of day in this part of the country localized entirely within your kitchen? • (“I wouldn’t say they’ve been playing them, Bob…”). • The last week-plus of Rangers games has been a travestshamockery. A bunch of baloney. • I am thankful that the Rangers chose to play really good for that three week or so stretch of games in late August through mid-September before cratering. It means that basically everything but the final week and a half of the season were meaningful and had the Rangers in the mix, which is fun. • If they’d had this current suckfest in, say, early September, and the Rangers had been out of it the final month, that would’ve been less fun. • There’s something…cruel,
