HUNTSVILLE, Texas (KBTX) - Hundreds gathered to mourn, honor, and celebrate the life of Texas Department of Safety (DPS) Trooper Jerry Wayne Adamick Jr on Tuesday morning.

Loved ones and supporters gathered at the Northside Baptist Church in Huntsville to pay their final respects to Trooper Adamick, who died on Sept. 15 while assisting another agency on a call in San Jacinto County. His vehicle went off the side of the road, hit a tree, and caught fire, killing Adamick.

Adamick was described as a giving man who gave his life to serve his family, community, and country.

His daughter Jasmine thanked her father as she spoke at the funeral.

“Thank you for taking care of our mama and showing her how worthy she is of the life and happiness you provided her,” she said through tears.
