Ican only describe the sensation of coming out the other side of a long, event-filled London Fashion Week as being put through the washing machine on a high spin cycle—albeit one filled with fabulous clothing, designer handbags, and tiny bottles of Champagne. It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it.
Having recently experienced Copenhagen Fashion Week, it was a joy to return to the mothership and witness the uniquely British sensibility on display, both on and off the catwalks. Where Copenhagen had bonnets and cardamom buns, London had track jackets and old man pubs, and a predictably unpredictable weather forecast to boot. From gale force winds to blazing sunshine, you can’t say that the UK doesn’t know how to keep us on our Tabi loafer-clad toes.
