BRIDGETON — A city woman was arrested early Wednesday after she allegedly refused to leave a local Wawa and got into an altercation with officers, police said.
Paulette Jefferson, 56, was charged with obstruction and resisting arrest. She was released on her own recognizance pending court.
Officers responded to the Wawa at 101 E. Broad St. at 12:16 a.m. after management said they wanted Jefferson, who was standing on the west side of the building, removed, police said.
When the officers told Jefferson she was under arrest, she resisted by pulling her arms away, police said.
