Netflix has several major documentaries and docu-series scheduled for release throughout October 2025. Still, one of the biggest ones that has caught our eye is a companion documentary that takes a look into the true and, as Netflix puts it, “surreal” story behind the Netflix Original show from Portugal, “ Rabo de Peixe ” or Turn of the Tide as it’s known in English-speaking regions.

First debuting in May 2023, Netflix’s scripted series is loosely based on a true story. That true story rewinds the clock back 24 years to June 2001, when the sailboat Sun Kiss 47 sank off the coast of the Azores, spilling more than 500 kilos of ultra-pure cocaine into the waters near the village of Rabo de Peixe.
