Breaking: Punjab Govt to provide free wheat seeds to farmers of flood-hit farmland, announces CM Mann

Chandigarh, September 24, 2025 – In a major relief measure for flood-hit farmers, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann announced that the government will provide free wheat seeds for 5 lakh acres of farmland damaged in the recent natural calamity.

The CM said that around 2 lakh quintals of wheat seed will be distributed free of cost to farmers who have lost their crops due to the floods and are unable to afford fresh seeds.

“This is a humble effort by our government to help farmers stand back on their feet and sow new life in their fields. In this difficult time, the Punjab government stands shoulder to shoulder with its farmers,” Mann stated.
