The Kincardine Family Health Team is receiving $1,009,500 from the Ontario government as part of its $2.1 billion Primary Care Action Plan to connect everyone in Ontario to a publicly funded family doctor or primary care team.
“Access to primary care is essential for the health and well-being of our communities here in Huron-Bruce,” said Lisa Thompson, MPP for Huron-Bruce, in a news release announcing the funding.

In total, $3,010,700 is being invested this year to connect up to 6,850 people to primary care in Huron-Bruce. In addition to the Kincardine Family Health Team, funding is also being provided to the Grand Bend Area Community Health Centre ($858,000) and Brockton and Area Family Health Team ($1,143,200).
