Abhishek Sharma continued his fine run in the Asia Cup with another fiery innings, but it was his celebration that grabbed most of the attention during India’s Super Fours clash against Bangladesh. The left-hander smashed a 25-ball half-century, which was also his latest entry into the record books. He now has five scores of fifty or more in 25 balls or fewer in T20Is, moving ahead of Yuvraj Singh on India’s all-time list. Only captain Suryakumar Yadav (7) and Rohit Sharma (6) are ahead of him. Abhishek’s knock eventually ended at 75, when he was run out. By then, he had already put on a strong opening stand of 77 with vice-captain Shubman Gill, who departed first between the duo, giving India a flying start. But the standout moment arrived right after he reached his half-century.
