A Fenway firm that negotiates contracts between athletes and colleges and advertisers this week sued a freshman who is a defensive lineman at the University of North Carolina - and his father - for allegedly failing to pay its fee after it negotiated a contract that might bring him $450,000.

In its suit, filed in Suffolk Superior Court, Jordan Sports Group says Trashawn Ruffin and his father Sean had agreed to pay a 10% fee - and repay the $42,705 it says it advanced the athlete when he hired the concern to negotiate a "name, image, and likeness" contract with the Tarheels.
