New Delhi, Sep 24: India’s smartphone exports recorded a sharp 39% rise in August 2025, reaching $1.53 billion compared to $1.09 billion in the same month last year, according to fresh data released by the India Cellular & Electronics Association (ICEA). The growth counters recent claims of a sectoral slowdown, with ICEA emphasizing robust performance—particularly in the US market.

Exports to the United States more than doubled, rising by 148% to $965 million in August 2025, up from $388 million in August 2024.
