CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- McIntire Little League had a ribbon cutting ceremony at McIntire Park for their newly constructed, covered batting cage which was built in assistance with the Building Goodness Foundation.

" I think what makes McIntire special is that it really is a community-run community organization, where people come from all parts of Charlottesville to come and learn the game of baseball. This batting cage gives them the chance to do that more easily, throughout the year, rain or shine. They’ll be able to come out here hit baseballs and enjoy the game of baseball," said Todd Kennedy, president of McIntire Little League.
