VIRGINIA (CBS19 NEWS) — State Sen. Bryce Reeves announced Wednesday that he will run for U.S. Senate, setting up a challenge to incumbent Democrat Mark Warner in next year’s election.

Reeves, a Republican elected in 2023 to represent Virginia’s 28th District — which includes Greene, Madison and Orange counties — said he believes now is the right time to take his fight to Capitol Hill.
