SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savannah-Chatham County Public School System leadership aims to promote the development of foundational literacy skills for thousands of students, especially kindergarten through 3rd graders.

One aspect of their universal system for literacy is constant monitoring that’s required to ensure what they are implementing is working correctly.

Another portion of Wednesday’s data discussions was to create district and site-based literacy in ways that support students and the teachers. They went over how each student’s needs are different from another, but teachers shouldn’t feel like they can’t be themselves in their classroom.
