Credit-card skimmers were found in three separate Tigard stores over the past week, prompting a police investigation.

The first of the devices — which, when installed in credit-card readers, surreptitiously steal customers’ information — was found by a customer at a 7-11 store at Oregon 99W and Southwest Park Street on Sunday, the Tigard Police Department said in a statement.

Investigators went through the store’s security cameras and found that the as-yet unidentified suspect had likely installed it on Saturday evening.

Later on Sunday, another skimmer was found at a Dollar Tree at Oregon 99W and Southwest Hall Boulevard, and a third device was found the same day at another Dollar Tree at Southwest 99W and Southwest Durham Road, police said.
