An Afghan boy hid in the landing gear of a plane as it travelled to India, and made it out alive.

The unidentified 13-year-old snuck into Kabul International Airport on Monday, accessed a Kam Air passenger plane, and stashed himself in the aircraft’s rear wheel well, according to the Indian Express .

After the roughly 1,026-kilometre, 90-minute flight, the boy was spotted by workers in his pyjamas, wandering around the tarmac of Indira Gandhi International Airport by himself.

They notified the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which took him in for “detailed questioning,” the Express reported.

“Upon inquiry, it turned out that he hid in the rear central landing gear compartment of the aircraft,” the CISF said in a statement to the outlet.
