A 16-year-old from Wellington North is facing charges after a car rolled into Lake Huron late Sept. 14, Ontario Provincial Police say.
Officers responded around 11:55 p.m. to reports of a vehicle that left the west end of Amberley Road and went into the lake in the Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township, police said.
The vehicle, a four-door sedan, rolled and landed upside down about 10 metres from shore, police say.
Both occupants escaped without injury, police said.
A 16-year-old driver from Arthur, a small town 55 kilometres north of Guelph in the municipality of Wellington North, is charged with dangerous operation. Their identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The youth was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Youth Court of Jus
