HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - Raul Valle will be back in court on Oct. 15 after the state filed amended charges.

Valle was found not guilty of murder in July in the stabbing death of James McGrath. However, the jury was hung on the lesser charges of reckless manslaughter, reckless endangerment and reckless assault.

17-year-old Jimmy McGrath was stabbed to death by Valle during a fight outside a Shelton house party in 2022.

He now faces charges of reckless manslaughter in the first degree for the death of James McGrath, assault in the first degree for the stabbing of Ryan Heinz, assault in the first degree for the stabbing of Thomas Connery, and a charge of assault in the second degree for the stabbing of Faison Teele.
