Two ribbon cuttings have been scheduled for Friday in Emporia.
The first is for the Resource Center for Independent Living (RCIL) satellite office at 624 Commercial St.
RCIL is a non-profit organization that aims to empower individuals with disabilities to have agency and control in their own lives and be able to live independently within the communities RCIL serves in.
The ribbon cutting will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m.
The second will be for Gilded Fates, a new trading card and board games store located in the Flinthills Mall.
Gilded Fates held its soft launch in June, allowing customers to play board games from its library for a reduced price without having to purchase the games, as well as purchase popular card and board games.
