MONTVILLE, CT. (WFSB) - A man was arrested after he was found hiding in a basement in Montville.
Police say that at around 1:11 a.m., they received two phone calls from a person saying that they had gotten a call from 36-year-old Alex Martin.
Martin told the person that he was in their backyard and he was about to break into their home.
He had been trespassing near the residence earlier in the evening.
Officers responded and found him hiding in the home’s locked basement. K-9 Sig also assisted in the search and apprehended Martin.
He was arrested and transported to the hospital for injuries that he suffered from resisting police and K-9 Sig.
Martin was hit with numerous charges, including home invasion and 2nd degree burglary.
He was held on a $250,000 bond.
