CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are working to identify a man who allegedly pistol-whipped and robbed two men in southwest Charlotte.
According to police, the incident occurred on Saturday, Aug. 23, in a neighborhood near S. Tryon Street close to Billy Graham Parkway.
Detective Jacqueline Clyburn with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers said the individual followed two people through the neighborhood and eventually attacked them.
“This individual was watching them. Our victims were unaware,” Clyburn said.
Clyburn said the man walked up to the two other men in the neighborhood, then pistol-whipped them and stole money from them.
“Your moral compass is off. You can’t treat people like that,” said Clyburn.
