Baby Food Pouches Recalled for Exposure to 'Elevated Levels of Lead'

Sprout Organics has initiated a voluntary recall for one lot of its Sweet Potato, Apple and Spinach baby food pouches.

On Sept. 16, the 3.5-ounce baby food pouches were recalled "after routine sampling" as they "may contain elevated levels of lead," according to a company announcement posted on the Food and Drug Administration's official website

This week, on Tuesday, Sept. 23, the company expanded its recall to include additional lots
