An 8-year-old girl is recovering after she was hit by a pickup truck last week in Massachusetts, leaving her with multiple serious injuries, her family said.

According to the Milford Police Department , the incident occurred on Thursday, Sept. 18, around 4:02 p.m. local time when the Milford Public Safety Communications Center was notified about a motor vehicle-versus-pedestrian accident involving a child.
