LECOM is on a mission to make sure people living with Alzheimer's and their families have access to quality care.

On Wednesday, medical officials highlighted their pilot program to a congressman.

LECOM was the first health system in northwest Pennsylvania to make this program available to the community.

The school has worked for the last 16 years to serve the northwestern Pennsylvania population with cognitive impairment.

LECOM has developed a continuum care program that focuses on early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.

The pilot program, named GUIDE, is a nationwide initiative designed to improve dementia care and provide critical support to unpaid caregivers.
