The Detroit Lions made two roster moves on Wednesday of Week 4, signing tight end Ross Dwelley from the practice squad to the active roster, then signing Quinton Jefferson to the open spot on the practice squad. The Lions did not need to make a corresponding move on the active roster, as they had an open spot following the move to place EDGE Marcus Davenport on injured reserve last Monday.

Dwelley was signed to the practice squad last week and was elevated for the game against the Ravens in Week 3. In Baltimore, Dwelley saw just four snaps on offense, filling in at the TE3 role for Shane Zylstra, but played 12 on special teams.
