FedEx box truck catches fire on I

Firefighters extinguished a FedEx box truck that caught fire on I-75 Northbound near the Ooltewah on-ramp.

The Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department said in a Facebook post they arrived on scene shortly after receiving reports of a vehicle fire at 10:27am.

Crews arrived to see smoke coming out of the truck. They quickly began suppressing the flames until getting further assistance.

The fire was out within 10 minutes of the initial report.

Both TDOT and the Chattanooga Police Department helped control traffic.

The cause of the fire is unknown, and nobody was injured.
