You probably know that Vancouver is home to some big game studios, like EA and Relic. But you might not know that Vancouver is also home to a thriving ecosystem of indie game developers: people making video games in small teams, following their own ideas of what makes interactive media great.

Video games aren’t all that physically tangible though—which is where Vancouver Game Garden comes in. Now in its second year, the annual event invites gamers, developers, and mildly curious newcomers alike to check out what’s being made in the city in a two-day event, taking place this year at the Roundhouse Community Centre.
