With Taylor Swift launching her new album Life of a Showgirl on Oct. 3, Vancouver Swifties will have opportunities around town to gather and listen together. One of those places is Chill X Studio, a live events space in Mount Pleasant, which is hosting Life of a Showgirl: A Taylor Swift Listening Party on Oct. 2 from 7 to 10:30 pm.

Kelsie Exley, the organizer of the event and the founder of the pop culture bar Basic Public House , says the inspiration behind the event was giving fans an opportunity to have fun and celebrate the launch of the new album.
