ADAMS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) - Adams County deputies announced two people were charged and a third is wanted in connection to a copper wire theft case.
On May 12, 2025, deputies responded to the 700 block of U.S. 61 North regarding the theft of copper wire. They said 400 feet of wire and multiple fiber lines, with an estimated value of $2,800, had been stolen.
During the investigation, Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said deputies reviewed surveillance video from a nearby business, which showed three suspects. He said a further investigation linked the suspects to the transportation and sale of stolen copper wire at recycling facilities in the region.
