The former treasurer of the Freetown-Lakeville Middle School Parent-Teacher Organization is facing charges in connection with embezzling $15,000 from the organization, police announced Tuesday.

Freetown resident Zachary Granville-Wilmot, 43, pleaded not guilty to two counts of forging a check and uttering a false check and one count of embezzlement by an association member over $250 and conspiracy during his arraignment in Wareham District Court on Wednesday, according to court records.

Freetown resident James Granville-Wilmot, 41, was also charged in the case and pleaded not guilty to one count of conspiracy during his arraignment in Wareham District Court on Wednesday, court records show.
