Randolph County Sheriff Andy Boggs accepted a $7,500 check from the North Missouri Drug Task Force for local schools, according to a Facebook post from the Randolph County Sheriff's Office .
Jason Ward, director of the North Missouri Drug Task Force, presented the check to Boggs.
The donation is designated for local schools. It is the result of a 2023 narcotics investigation, which represented a significant effort in the fight against illegal drug activity in the region, the post said.
Authorities seized over 5 pounds of methamphetamine, multiple firearms, various other narcotics, vehicles and U.S. currency during the investigation.
