HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Flash flooding is reported early Wednesday evening in parts of Huntington, according to our crews at the scene.
Among the affected locations are 5th Avenue in the 2500 block and parts of West Huntington, including in the area of 14th Street West.
There are no immediate reports of injuries.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for both Cabell and Wayne counties in West Virginia, as well as Boyd County, Kentucky, and Lawrence County, Ohio. It is in effect until 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Meteorologists say street and underpass flooding is likely and that small stream overflow is possible.
