OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - The Ocala Police Department arrested Oksana Deputat, 30, after she posted a mass shooting threat online.

Officers say the post was published Wednesday at around 6 a.m. from a Facebook account under the name “Oksana Sophia Oeputat,” targeting Meadowbrook Academy in Ocala. They later identified Deputat, a former student of the school, as the account owner.

Investigators say they found additional threatening posts on Deputat’s social media.

Officers immediately responded to the situation to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Deputat is charged with a written threat to conduct a mass shooting and disrupting an educational institution’s function.
