GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Florida agriculture leaders are inviting wounded veterans to apply for accessible hunting and fishing trips at no cost.
Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson and Florida Forest Service officials say “Operation Outdoor Freedom” provides recreactional and rehabilitative opportunities to wounded veterans on state forests, agricultural lands, and private lands throughout Florida.
There are several events planned throughout the rest of 2025, including at Newnans Lake State Forest in Alachua County from Dec. 5th-7th.
