Construction originally planned for earlier this week on Interstate 25 in Douglas County was delayed by rain , according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The construction will now shut down multiple I-25 lanes and ramps overnight on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, according to a news release from the agency. All closures are scheduled to lift by 6 a.m. the following morning.

According to CDOT, Wednesday evening traffic impacts will include:

Triple lane closures on northbound I-25 from Castle Pines Parkway to Ridgegate Parkway. The first lane will close at 6 p.m., the second at 8 p.m. and the third at 9 p.m., limiting traffic to one lane.
