The slanted floors at the Hollywood Theatre were working overtime on Tuesday night as Samia took the stage in front of a jam-packed floor of admirers. Even with the floors doing their best work, the committed boyfriends in the crowd still had to ask some of the 10 or 12 other dudes in attendance to please shift over slightly so their girlfriends could see.

The singer-songwriter (legal name Samia Najimy Finnerty) first saw widespread popularity with her 2020 debut LP, The Baby . That only continued with 2023’s smash release Honey and this year’s Bloodless , an exceptional display of the 28-year-old’s vocal range and lyrics that seem very wise beyond her years.
